I have to apologize to anybody that follows my website for being so tardy in posting events and happennings. The first quarter of 2012 has brought a deluge of new projects and a new partnership with Aardvark Letterpess that has kept me away from the keyboard and at the composing table of the Ludlow and the Linotype keyboard!
Also, I'm excited to share that I've been accepted to UCLA's Design and Media Arts program! I never completed my undergraduate studies after my 2 year stay at the Califronia College of Arts and Crafts and it's a goal that has never left my site. My search for my degree has also led me to take courses at East Los Angeles College and I join the ranks of other Chicano artists who have walked the halls (or bungalows?).
Stay tuned for new broadsides in the works.
I've recently completed the poster for the UCLA Labor Center's annual banquet. This year, the center celebrates the firght for justice of the Carwasheros and the Black Workers Center.
The image that was created for Oscar Yanez's typeface, Calavera is available as a linocut print. The title is Fenomeno Astrnómico Capitalino. it is 11x8.5 printed on 15x16 in. Rives BFK paper. If your interested in acquiring one, contact me.
I'm happy to announce that the Metro Expo Line will finally be opening for regular service on Saturday, April 28, 2012! We'll be celebrating with family and friends all day. I'll be at La Cienega Station intermittently to hear comments and to see the train come in! Also, there will be a reception at the Califronia State Parks Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook from 11am-5pm where José Lozano and myself will be exhibiting original artworks created for La Brea Station and La Cienega Station. We'll have light refreshments and live music courtesy of Old Time is a Good Time! It should be a beautiful sunny day and one to remember!

I'm happy to announce that the artwork devoloped for Metro's new Expo Line at La Cienega Station has been successfully installed this past June 18, 2011, on my 31st birthday! The pieces are currently covered in tarp and will be open to the public once the line is in service some time later this year. I'll post updates when more information is available.
