METRO Art on New Expo Line
I'm very happy to announce that Metro has selected my proposal
for the new Expo Line. My work will be permanently installed at
the Exposition/La Cienega station, an elevated station that will
arch over La Cienega Blvd. The line will be up and running some
time in 2010. It will run from downtown LA to Culver City. I'll
be making updates as the project moves along.

-Collaboration
with artist Jaime Galindo
Production
on Jaime Galindo's first artist book, Hierbas sin trillar,
Uncut Plants draws to a close. The last of seven folio's has been
printed and binding of the edition is complete. The book is a 6.5x9
accordian fold book featuring poetry and woodcuts by Jaime Galindo.
The minimalist woodcuts reflect the constant struggle between concrete
and plants as nature poses a passive front impeding the progression
of concrete.
Books are now available for sale!

Zombie
Press is obsolete technology reanimated. It's the
brain child of designer Michael Barbano & myself, Daniel González.
Late nights in the printshop in college, we combined our love for
good design with our passion for good craftsmanship and made ephemeral
prints. From these first collaborations grew the idea to some day
continue to collaborate and develop unique printed pieces and graphic
design. That day is here. Stay tuned for our on-line store and look
out for product at a store near you.

L.A. LOTERIA
Aardvark Letterpress is celebrating their 40th anniversary by creating
a set of letterpressed prints based on the Mexican game of Loteria
all featuring LA icons created by individual artists. I'm proud
to be included in the first of three sets of 18 artists. Above is
my Loteria card, El Puente, the Bridge.
